Student job in an office

Administrative student jobs in Belgium

An administrative student job means working indoors, knowing your hours in advance and learning something that belongs on any CV. You process data, answer emails and keep a company’s files in order.

In short

You keep the office running smoothly. You enter data, answer emails and calls, file documents and help out wherever the team needs you. You quickly get to grips with office software and your CV grows with you. Signing up is free and takes one minute.

What you do

What does an administrative assistant do?

You make sure a company’s data is right and the work keeps moving. You get a clearly defined task and a colleague who shows you the ropes, and you build from there.

In admin work you learn to work accurately, keep an overview and write an email a client understands first time. You take those skills into every internship and every job after that. Put them on your CV right away with the CV generator.

Why office work

Why admin is a smart student job

Most student jobs ask something of your body. This one mainly asks something of your head, which makes it easy to fit around your studies.

Office hours you can plan around

Administrative work runs in the daytime, during office hours. You often agree on fixed days, so you plan lectures and revision around them. One day a week works, two days works, and during the holidays you scale up if you want to.

Experience that ties in with your degree

Studying law, economics, communication or languages? Then admin work links directly to your coursework. And whatever your degree, it is a strong line on your CV for an internship or a first job.

Office software you will use later

Every day you work with the programmes employers ask about later. You learn how a file is built and how a company works from the inside.

Indoors, at a desk

You work in an office, in the daytime and seated. So you come home with energy left for your studies.

Pay and paperwork

What you earn and who arranges what

What do you earn in an administrative job?

The hourly rate is in every vacancy, so you know it before you apply. The amount follows the pay scale of the joint committee your employer falls under, and it is also in your student employment contract. Read how to check your student contract before you sign, and whether your commuting costs are reimbursed.

Who arranges your contract and your Dimona?

We do. We draw up your student employment contract, file your Dimona declaration and run your payroll. You focus on your work and your studies.
